2-1/2 cupssunflower seedssoaked overnight in 3 x amount of water
1/2cuphemp seedswhole
1/3 cupgolden flax seedsfinely milled
3/4cupfiltered water
1/3cuplemon juicefresh
1teaspoonlemon zest
2teaspoonkelp granules
1teaspoonnatural salt
Instructions
Place sunflower seeds in a bowl , cover with 3 x the amount of water, cover and refrigerate for 8-12 hours.
Drain sunflower seeds and rinse.
In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal S blade, add sunflower seeds and pulse for 30-60 seconds.
Add hemp seeds, milled flax seeds, water, lemon, kelp and salt.
Process until creamy, ( I like to leave mine with a little texture, but thats up to you). Add in additional water if needed to achieve your desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
Serve in a bowl or spread out on a platter, garnished with additional hemp seeds and a sprinkle of your favorite spice- (cumin, smoked paprika or a bit of chili powder are delicious)
