If you aren’t already making your own salad dressings I invite you to give it a try. This dressing comes together quickly in a blender and incorporates 2 powerful whole foods, perfect for transitioning to the colder weather.
Turmeric and fresh garlic are two powerful anti-inflammatory and immune boosting ingredients. Turmeric is a rich golden colored root and can also be commonly found ground and dried in a powder form. Besides being a beautiful color the flavor and health supportive properties make it a win-win.
Turmeric Dressing
A creamy and delicious immune system booster including two powerful kitchen ingredients; turmeric and fresh garlic.
Ingredients
- 2" piece turmeric root, fresh, peeled
- 2-3 cloves garlic, fresh, peeled
- 1 Tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon natural salt
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- fresh ground pepper
Instructions

Place all of the ingredients into a small blender bottle, blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Pour into a clean glass bottle and refrigerate until needed.

Chef Notes:
Substitute 1/2 of the olive oil for avocado or hemp seed oil.
Add a teaspoon of fresh ground ginger
Substitute turmeric root for 2 teaspoons of ground turmeric.
